Job Description

The purposes of this position are:  


   Lumileds Customer Quality Manager region China manages Gr. China scope OEM & AM customers including Taiwan & Hongkong in support of all aspects of customer Quality from new project release by customer audit & PPAP approval, customer safe launch, PCN submission with customer release, customer complaint management with primary failure analysis, customer audit and QMS representative of Commercial organization. The organization charter is inclusive ABU CQM OEM & AM, APAC AM ; LBU CQM.

  • Be accountable to drive customer satisfaction via customer complaint management, customer safe launch, and customer audit positive results
  • Proactively partner with KAM / BD to drive value add quality, LEAN business flow in achieving the most efficient & solution effective to customers
  • Manage the daily customer complaint issues, drive effective containment, risk assessment , comprehensive issue management with stakeholders, and right information communication to customer to avoid NBOH .
  • Manage the Product change Notification to make sure Lumileds can get customer release before conducting change.
  • Manage a team of field CQM to interfaces with factory customer quality engineers to follow related customer product issues and formulate the root cause corrective response to customers through the 8D process within TAT target response time.
  • Well build up & maintain Quality system in Commercial Organization to comply with IATF 16949 standard and positive pass internal /external audit without major NC.
  • Be part of the Commercial Management Team to influence the commercial strategic focus and leads in key initiatives that creating customer oriented & satisfaction culture, system and position the commercial & application to achieve best in class solution & technology performance.

Job Requirements  & Skills


  • BS or Master in Technical Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related
  • Minimum 10 years engineering technical experience, with minimum 5 years senior leadership & management experience leading a large scale quality & customer quality organization for semiconductor or/and LED manufacturing.
Experience in automotive in-depth knowledge in APQP, DRBFM, UPMFEA, Control Plan, SPC/Statistic 8D process, VDA6.3/6.5 & IATF16949 quality system requirements. The
  • candidate must possess strong engineering fundamental and process characterization methodology in building a robust & high margin process.
  • Demonstrated strong technical, problem solving and quality system knowledge especially in customer complaint management, customer safe launch on their SMT and test process. Technically strong with good understanding of conventional lamp & LED functionality product knowledge, failure analysis technique
  • Experience building a highly efficient team to support KAM & BD to win the business via providing customer service. Excellent influencing, strategic thinking
