Position Summary:
Sr. Financial Analyst position within the ADT Financial Planning & Analysis team will be responsible for supporting analysis of company financial and operating performance through review of financial data and KPI’s.  The individual will be involved in annual/quarterly planning, results preparation, internal reporting, and ad-hoc project support. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with superior communication skills and experience understanding business drivers.  In addition, the Senior Analyst must be able to work independently, as well as within a group environment, to generate and present project conclusions to corporate business partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supports monthly closing, reporting, and analysis of financial results and operating metrics including review of underlying data to ensure accuracy and integrity of information presented.
  • Explanation of variances vs. budget/forecast to leadership and business partners
  • Summarization and consolidation of business unit and department level financial and operating data
  • Participation in the creation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Enhance current reporting, develop value-added reporting to drive business success, and create efficiencies for reporting.
  • Assist in projects requiring interaction with VP’s, Directors and Managers across company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role required, preferably in a matrixed corporate setting.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across business functions at all management levels
  • Enhanced analytical skills, including the ability to manipulate and summarize data
  • Able to work independently and develop trust-based relationships with business and finance partners
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Hyperion and Essbase
Education / Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field required.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
