Under the general supervision of the Cardiology Services Manager and direct supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Team Leader, and according to established policies and procedures, assists physician in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, invasive cardiac, electrophysiology and vascular procedures, to include call- back rotations for RN’s in diagnostic cardiology, care and maintenance of equipment and delivers appropriate patient care. Work is of a highly‑confidential nature. Performs other work of the department as required.
- Applicant must have completed an associate or bachelordegree in
Radiology Sciences, Cardiovascular Technology, or Nursing with
current licensure or registration (as appropriate) in the relevant field
required, or equivalent experience. RN, R.T. (R) (CV) or (CI) or (VI), or
RCIS credentialrequired or must be obtained within 12 months of
hire.
- Experience preferred: RN with two or moreyears of critical care or cath
lab experience.
- For other Allied Health Professionals, one to three years Cath lab or
angiography experience including diagnostic, PTCA, stent, and/or
electrophysiology implant is preferred.
- The employee must have theability to understand, communicate and
react effectively to the unique needs ofneonatal, pediatric, adolescent,
adult and geriatric patients.
- CPRcertification required and provided. ACLS required or must be
obtained within12 months from date of hire.
