We are adding a Senior Investment Accountant role to our team! This is an opportunity to be part of a key function within Athene's finance team as we continue to grow.

The Sr Investment Accountant will be responsible for GAAP and Statutory general ledger reconciliations, third party reinsurance reporting, and quarterly and annual consolidated disclosures.


  • Responsible for supporting the investment accounting and reporting on a Bermuda Statutory, US Statutory and US GAAP basis for Athene USA
  • Assist with preparations of quarterly and annual reporting for consolidated US GAAP (10Q & 10K)
  • Review of Bermuda investment portfolio activity in the PAM for Investments (PFI) system and perform related general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with all other SEC reporting requirements and respond to Investor/Analyst questions and comments
  • Support the financial analysis of operating results, balance sheets, and other key performance indicators related to annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and analysis against actual results.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining reconciliations and investment accounting information flows with third party assumed reinsurance partners
  • Support Athene Holding and Athene Life Reinsurance consolidated investment reporting.
  • Act as primary point of contact on investment information for Bermuda-based Finance team
  • Support new assumed reinsurance initiatives & reporting considerations for strategic transactions.
  • Maintain process documentation for investment accounting

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required
  • Knowledge of investment types and related reporting preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory financial accounting regulations a plus
  • PFI, Essbase, & Bloomberg experience is ideal
