Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for material management activities related to the purchase, receiving, distribution and inventory of supplies, instrumentation and equipment in surgical services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum one-year experience in healthcare supply management in a clinical setting.
  • Computer experience required. Knowledge of SMART and MediTech preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Essential Job Functional

  • Management of surgery supply inventory.
  • Equipment/instrumentation control.
  • Assists in meeting all department budgetary requirements.
  • Assist in research/development of department needs and goals.
  • Completes daily inventory and restocking of unit.
  • Adapt well to change.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
