Job Description
Memorial Medical CenterCodes diagnosis and procedures from medical records for the purpose of reimbursement, research and compliance with regulations. Insures billing procedures per MMC/LCPP standards.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or- GED. Formaleducation in coding preferred. Formal education in medical terminology,anatomy and physiology or equivalent experience.Minimum Experience: Minimum one year medical office experience in codingpreferred. Working knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT coding standards andpractices.
Certification/Licensure: CertifiedProfessional Coder (CPC) & Certified Evaluation & Management Certified(CEMC) preferred.
