Position Summary:

The lean Supervisor’s job is to optimize the production or service process. As such he would need to go beyond departmental borders. The tasks he needs to do start from defining the process and products, studying the current process and designing production with lean and six sigma  management concepts, and down the line including implementation and operations:

What You Will Do:

  • Be a continuous improvement promoter in the site, lead and spread the lean culture.
  • Responsible for promotion of lean thinking, people mindset change, and providing the lean training to employees. Establish high work standards to maintain and improve productivity.
  • Support executing lean assessments at different factories. Work on operation efficiency problem and identify improvement opportunities in all areas, for overall productivity improvement, analyze, balance, and optimize the process.
  • Organize Kaizen events to identify, transfer and deploy lean best practices, and then develop a simple visualized and standardized lean implementation process-flow, which could facilitate efficiency improvements, cost reductions and cycle time reductions, profitability, quality, Customer service.
  • Lead create / renew CVSM and develop FVSM. Work together with Value Stream Manager to create an implementation plan to turn the current state map to the short term, mid-term and long term state map.
  • Provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of the value stream. This ensures that the stakeholders meet the current production demands, at the same time the changes are improvements are also met.
  • In line with the 5 Phase Lean Road Map implementation, he has to mobilize the stakeholders, including employees of the various departments, suppliers and customers.  He should be appraised of the required changes as the plan is implemented.
  • Support Six Sigma Program by participating in the Green Belt training, coaching and certification.
  • Provide support to achieve site business KPI to generate cost savings and improve profit.
  • Travel Frequency: At least 1 per quarter.

  • Organizational skills to accurately extract, interpret, and display data. Presentation skills to concisely update management on key initiatives and results.
  • Industrial Engineering, WHS management and Manufacturing experience background prefers.

Education (Minimum Level)

  • Bachelor's

Field of Study

  • Industrial Engineering/Logistics or relevant disciplines.

Years of Experience (Minimum)

  • 1 - 3 years
