AmeriHome is seeking a VP, Business Support Manager to support the CFO in driving our continued growth, strategy and vision.  The ideal candidate will have a high level of accountability with a desire to raise the bar and drive results, strong project management, executive presence and data analytics.  The goal is to ensure that the most essential items are accomplished while identifying and queuing up future initiatives to drive the organization forward.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will liaise across all departments reporting to the CFO, including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury and Human Resources, to ensure timely completion of deliverables and reporting.  The measure of success for this role will include the incumbent’s ability to:

  • Organize and manage recurring reporting routines
  • Produce the monthly finance business review materials, on time and with a high level of accuracy
  • Engage in cross departmental initiatives that impact Finance – acting as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Finance organization
  • Be an effective liaison to Business Operations Support (BOS) and Business Intelligence (BI) teams
  • Assist with ICOFR-related efforts
  • Take the lead on special projects and ad hoc requests from CFO or CEO

To accomplish the above, the day-to-day responsibilities may include any and all of the following:

  • Attend various enterprise meetings to keep a pulse on the business and connect dots across the Company
  • Ensure there are clear action items and follow-up after the meetings
  • Produce standardized financial and operational reporting for dissemination to executive management and other vested parties
  • Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities both internal to Finance Operations and to the business, driving ad-hoc projects as required
  • Lead or co-lead strategic initiatives that are highly visible and key to the organization.   As these initiatives are identified, this role will be expected to define the initiative with key deliverables and success metrics, and look within the organization to build a cross functional team
  • Develop and implement effective organization communications with business partners, including financial modeling and analysis, metrics and reporting that provide insights and a proactive way of managing and monitoring the impacts of change
  • Proactively identify issues that could impact the successful execution of the CFO’s commitments, and develop ideas to resolve the problem/mitigate the risk
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned


  • MBA, CFA or CPA preferred 
  • 7+ years of relevant finance services and/or mortgage experience. Experience with the Big 4 or similar large management consulting firms desired
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Successful track record of managing multiple projects and priorities within a large scale, rapid and process-driven environment, while ensuring details are captured and targets met
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to communicate and build relationships across the enterprise
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and reporting skills, SQL proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment
  • Maintain high level of trust and integrity under strict confidentiality
  • Exemplary ability to understand the interests of the parties working with the CFO, as well as their intentions, are critical aspects to ensure identification of creative alternative means of handling pressing issues – tact, diplomacy, and persistence are essential qualities in executing this dimension of the role
