Bluegrass Community Hospital conveniently located just 12 minutes from Lexington has an exciting opportunity for the right professional to join our Medical / Surgical team! This is a PRN position and you will be a member of a highly skilled team serving our patients and community. This position will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Essential functions include performing plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatments. The candidate will document patient care given, monitor records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge and referral. Will work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Our staff take great pride in the way we go above and beyond to serve our patients. Job Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing and Kentucky RN license - Required

BLS - Required

ACLS and PALS - Preferred

Must be able to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems

This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Must be able to successfully complete Skills Competency Checklist
